our mission
The Glenmuir High School Past Students Association (UK) Chapter is part of the Glenmuir High School international alumni association. Our mission is to engage with alumni past and present across the United Kingdom and continue to support our beloved alma mater Glenmuir High in Jamaica as well as students continuing their studies in tertiary institutions in the UK.

Kerry badaloo - in her own words...
As the GHSPSA (UK) Chapter President, may I welcome you to our online space. Since 2010, a small group of alumni here in the UK would meet up and subsequently decided to formalise links with our alma mater Glenmuir High School in Jamaica. I am particularly proud of the fact that the UK membership conceived and initiated the GHS Breakfast Programme project back in 2017 which has since proven to be of immense benefit to disadvantaged students. We have joined forces with the other GHS Alumni Associations and together we have been able to complete and dedicate the Dr. Sydney Scott Auditorium. 2020 has brought the worldwide pandemic of Covid-19. Nevertheless, we were able to answer Principal Dr. Marsha Smalling's call for assistance with learning resources and personal protective equipment for the staff members. Going forward, we will continue to strive to increase our membership as well as assist our school. The fire still burns - here in the UK!

British Future who run the Windrush 100 network are looking for families from our communities who have a connection with fighting for the British Army to make VE Day at 80.
British Future really want to highlight the contribution of soldiers and families from the Commonwealth fighting for Britain. They want to make sure our Windrush families are included in the conversations and coverage about remembrance. In order to do this we need your help. If you know anyone who is willing to share their story please email info@britishfuture.org or info@windrush100.org.
Let's make sure our stories and histories are heard. We want veterans and their families daughters/sons and grandchildren/ friends / neighbours above the age of 18. Do let us know if you can help.

glenmuir retain ISSA champions cup with sparkling 3-1 win over fancied jamaica college

Glenmuir High created history by being the first school to successfully defend the ISSA/Wata U19 Schoolboys Champions Cup title as they beat the previously undefeated Jamaica College 3-1 at the National Stadium.
Goals by O'Neil Headly (2) and substitute Nyron Allen enabled Glenmuir to win their first silverware of the football season of what could be a potential treble. Congratulations and well done!
WW1 british west indian army regiment finally honoured after 109 years

Military veterans have undertaken an 18-hour pilgrimage to Belgium to unveil a plaque honouring the 15,600 West Indian soldiers who served during the First World War.
Until now, no mention had been made of the service of thousands of soldiers from the British West Indies Regiment at St George's Memorial Church in Ypres – on the land where so many fought and 1,500 members of the regiment lost their lives during the conflict. Read more:
